I woke up late afternoon or early evening
And I was hot.
I got up and looked down
And steam was rising from where I'd lain
I was hot.
And I was thinking it must be residual heat from last night
coz last night, I was hot.
Well I make my way to the bath room and catch a glimpse of myself
in the hall mirror
And Im hot
So I start anticipating the night ahead
And I feel the heat the rising
coz tonight its gonna get hot
Ohh Ohh Im gonna blow
Ohh Ohh like a volcano
So I get ready for the nights action ahead
And Im putting on my killer shirt and Im cleaning my Cuban heels
I spend an hour on my hair, and its perfect
So I strut to the club in my heels
And the pavement hisses and cracks with every step
And I march past the line of cool people waiting to get in
Coz I'm just too hot to queue man
Im just too hot

Now Im scanning the crowd
and I'm thinking what this room needs is some heat.
So I make my way to the dance floor
and the sea of cool people just melt aside
As I introduce them to my heat.

Hours later, I'm now an inferno
Some lucky lady gets to walk me home
And she's hot.
Not as hot as me, coz thats impossible.
But, you know, pretty hot.
Well I get her home and Im mixing the drinks
But the keeps melting from all the excess heat.
So I shout out to the other room, I shout
"Hey Baby, you want some heat?"
Coz I'm hot
Well I enter the room, and she's already taking her clothes off
And I feel the heat rising
Now Im fumbling with my shirt,
and Im fumbling with my pants
and the heat is rising, and Im fumbling
and Im fumbling and its rising

LIES hail from Coventry, UK. They describe themselves as "alternative" but there style is hard to define. Playing an
eclectic blend of rock, punk, reggae, blues and following no particular style. Their influences range from Nick Cave, The Clash, The Pixies, King Tubby, Johnny Cash etc to spaghetti westerns.
